A castle is a type of fortified structure built in Europe and the Middle East during the Middle Ages by nobility. It is built for both living and fighting. Kings and Queens lived in castles and were the rulers of the land and people surrounding them. Knights, also living in the castle, were the Kings loyal bodyguards and soldiers.
